Center for Reproductive Justice

My work is absolutely informed by who I am. My identity as a Korean adoptee intersects with many other identities, yet it is impossible for me to consider the world from a point of reference that excludes either my American or Korean families, i.e., my adoption experience. Since I have been asked so many times about when I'm going to get on with life and stop writing about adoption (i.e., when am I going to stop being adopted), I'll just try to put this into perspective: When I stop writing from the point of view of a woman, I'll consider giving up the adoptee point of view, too. (!!)
